Alessandra Rizzi

A Medieval History researcher in the Humanities Department of University of Ca’ Foscari, Venice, where she also teaches, Alessandra Rizzi’s special interest lies in the history of Venice, especially its institutional systems, publications and the city’s social history, with special focus on the history of ludicity and the mendicant orders. She coordinates several scientific projects, contributes to national and international conferences and has published widely. Rizzi is also a member of the scientific committee of Ludica, as well as co-director, along with Gherardo Ortalli, of “Ludica: collana di storia del gioco”, published by the Fondazione Benetton Studi Ricerche.
