David Jacoby

David Jacoby is Professor Emeritus of medieval history at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. He has published extensively on the history of the Eastern Mediterranean in the 11th-15th centuries in studies dealing with Byzantium, the Crusader States of the Levant, Egypt, Western commercial expansion, commodities in medieval trade and industry, with a focus on silk, and Jews.
