Johannes Pahlitzsch

Johannes Pahlitzsch is Professor for Byzantine Studies at the Universität Mainz. He published a book on the history of the Greek Orthodox patriarchate of Jerusalem in the crusader period as well as numerous articles on the situation of Oriental Christians under Muslim rule in the Middle Ages and the relations between Byzantium and the Islamic world. He is co-editor of “Christian-Muslim Relations. A Bibliographical History”.
