A Fellow at the Historische Kolleg in Munich, Jaser is currently working on the project “Urban Horse Racing in Italy and Germany, 15th to 16th centuries”. From 2013 to 2017 he was Research Fellow at the Department of History at Humboldt University Berlin, and from 2010 to 2012 a Research Fellow at the TU Dresden. His dissertation on medieval excommunication rituals (Ecclesia maledicens. Rituelle und zeremonielle Exkommunikationsformen im Mittelalter) was published in 2013. Jaser has been awarded several scholarships by the German Historical Institutes in Rome and Paris and the École des hautes études en sciences sociales in Marseille.
