Piroska Biczó studied medieval archaeology at the Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. Her research interest focussed on archaeology of ecclesiatic buildings. Between 1972-1987 active in the Katona József Museum, Kecskemét, later until her superannuation research worker of the Hungarian National Museum. She excavated the site of the Bátmonostor monastery in southern Hungary dilapidated in the sixteenth-seventeenth centuries. Since 1994 leader of the excavations of the medieval Provostry Church of the Virgin Mary in Székesfehérvár.
