Gábor Endrődi

Gábor Endrődi is lecturer at ELTE University, Budapest. His main field of study is fifteenth- and sixteenth-century central European art. His PhD thesis dealt with Anton Pilgram. He edited and commented the manuscript Michelangelo und die Pisani by Wilhelm Vöge (2016); the topics of his publications include the Pozsony (Bratislava, today Slovakia) high altarpiece, the art of Besztercebánya (Banská Bystrica, today Slovakia) in the early sixteenth century, Master MS, Albrecht Dürer, as well as theological reflections on the image in the High Middle Ages. He currently works on a monograph on the Strasbourg painter Hans Schrotbanck.
