Árpád Mikó

Árpád Mikó is director of the Institute of Art History, Research Centre for the Humanities, Hungarian Academy of Sciences; vice-president of the Society for Hungarian Archeology and Art History; editor-in-chief of the review «Művészettörténeti Értesítő» [Bulletin of History of Arts]. His research interests are Renaissance art and culture in Hungary. He is the author of the monograph A reneszánsz Magyarországon [Renaissance in Hungary] (2009) and several academic papers and book chapters. Between 1997 and 2013 he was head of the Old Hungarian Collection of the Hungarian National Gallery, Budapest; he was co-curator of several great art exhibitions and coeditor of the catalogues of exhibitions.
