Györgyi Poszler is art historian at the Old Hungarian Collection of the Hungarian National Gallery Budapest. She worked as curator or co-curator of several exhibitions, between 2001-2006 at the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest; she was also one of the curators of the major international exhibition dedicated to King Sigismund (2006). Her PhD thesis dealt with gothic artworks from the western part of the medieval Hungarian Kingdom. Her principal research focus is the wood sculpture, panel painting and winged altarpieces of the fifteenthth- and sixteenth-century in Hungary and central Europe. Her works inculde several publications in this topic.
