Emese Sarkadi Nagy

Emese Sarkadi Nagy is researcher at the Christian Museum in Esztergom and senior lecturer at the Eszterházy Károly University in Eger. Her main field of research is medieval panel painting and wood sculpture in Hungary and central Europe. Her works include an English-language monograph on the Transylvanian winged altarpieces: Local Workshops – Foreign Connections. Studies on Late Medieval Altarpieces in Transylvania (2012). Currently she is leading a research project on the medieval objects from Hungarian- and German-speaking regions in the collections of the Christian Museum.
