Katalin Szende

Katalin Szende is associate professor of Medieval Studies at the Central European University, Budapest, and member of the “Lendület” Medieval Hungarian Economic History Research Group of the Research Centre for the Humanities, Hungarian Academy of Sciences. She is member of the International Commission for the History of Towns and the leader of the Hungarian Atlas of Historic Towns project. Her publications include (with D. Keene and B. Nagy) Segregation – Integration – Assimilation: Religious and Ethnic Groups in the Medieval Towns of Central and Eastern Europe (2009); (with B. Nagy, M.
