Abdoulaye Wotem Somparé

Abdoulaye Wotem Somparé obtained in 2006 a PhD in Sociology at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales de Paris, with a thesis on social mobility and reproduction in Guinean mining towns. He is the Vice-Rector of the University Julius Nyerere of Kankan, Guinea. His current research interests concern sociology of work and professions, anthropological interventions during epidemics (especially the recent Ebola outbreak in West Africa) and migrations connected to aspirations of social mobility.
