Jean Sénié

A former student at the École Normale Supérieure, where he is currently an ater, Jean Sénié graduated in History at the Sorbonne Université. He is also a member of the Centre Roland Mousnier. His research, conducted under the supervision of Alain Tallon, focuses on the diplomatic, political and religious relations of Cardinals Ippolito and Luigi d’Este with the Kingdom of France in the 16th century and, more generally, on the diplomatic role of Italian cardinals in the service of France. He also studies relations between the Duchy of Ferrara and the Kingdom of France in the Early Modern Age.
