Marcia Pointon

Marcia Pointon (Università di Manchester e ricercatore presso il Courtauld Institute) ha pubblicato molteplici contributi sulla ritrattistica e sulle pietre preziose. Le sue pubblicazioni includono Brilliant Effects: A Cultural History of Gem Stones and Jewellery (2009), e Rocks, Ice and Dirty Stones: Diamond Histories (2017). Di recente, ha pubblicato Importance of Gems in the Work of Peter Paul Rubens nella monografia Engraved Gems from Antiquity to the Present (2018) e l’articolo Rubens and the Mineral World, apparso in «Artibus et Historiae» nel 2019.
