Salvatore Morra

Salvatore Morra has a Ph.D. in Musicology from Royal Holloway, University of London and he is currently the Music Curator at ISMEO (Rome) and Adjunct Professor of Music at Tuscia University. His research focuses on the use, experience, and mediation of music in everyday life, particularly in the region of the Mediterranean Sea. He is the author of chapters in edited volumes and articles in academic journals (Music on Screen Journal, The Journal of Somaesthetics, Studia instrumentorum musicae popularis, Civiltà Musicale, Jaridat al-founnoun). He presented his research at international conferences and wrote on topics ranging from modal music analysis, to musical instrument history and construction in Tunisia.
