Cinzia Marchesini

Having graduated at Perugia University and earning a specialistic diploma in anthropological cultural heritage studies at the same university in association with the Universities of Florence, Siena and Turin, Cinzia Marchesini is now studying for a research PhD with work on landscape as a cultural asset and cultural heritage. She is a Ministry of Culture official at the Office of the Director General for Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape, in Department vi – protection of the anthropological cultural heritage. She also works with the Central Institute for Intangible Cultural Heritage (Istituto Centrale per il Patrimonio Immateriale). Her research interests include landscape as a socio-cultural product, the processes of “heritarization” and their use in action for social development, subjects in which she has presented her work in publications and conferences.
