Silvia Cavicchioli

Silvia Cavicchioli teaches Contemporary History at the University of Turin. Her recent publications include: Public Uses of Human Remains and Relics in History (ed., Routledge, 2020); Anita. Storia e mito di Anita Garibaldi (Einaudi, 2017). In recent years, her research interests have focused on memory studies, in particular on: the history and celebration of the Italian Risorgimento; gender history; the 19th-century ruling classes; the history of the Kingdom of Sardinia and post-Unification Italy; museum collections and art related to national identities; and public uses of human remains and relics.
