Angelo Del Boca

Angelo Del Boca (Novara 1925-Torino 2021) was an Italian historian specialised in the study of the Italian colonialism. He has been the first Italian scholar involved in research on the crimes committed by the Italian army in Ethiopia and Libya during Fascism and World War II. He has been awarded three laureae honoris causa (Universität Luzern in 2002, University of Turin in 2012, Addis Ababa University in 2014) for his commitment to disclose the Italian responsibilities in Africa.
