Hielen Tekeste Berhe graduated in Economics Statistics and Social Science in 2005 at Bocconi University with a final dissertation entitled “Rotating Savings and Credit Associations in the Eritrean Community Living in Milan”. In 2008, she attended an advanced course in International Migration Studies and co-founded a national network called G2 second generations, active in civic and political engagement. From 2020 to 2021, she has been Research Assistant at Harvard University. Since 2022, she is a Research Assistant at Loughborough, Department of Geography. Her collaborative research approach leads her to explore systemic racism and post-colonialism within the diasporic communities.
