Susanna Barsotti

The aim of this article is to shed light on the relashionship between the manuscript N2, the collection compiled by Giulio Camillo in the XVIth century, and Pv, a XIII-XIVth century fragment, probably deriving from a Tuscan manuscript, both containing Raimbaut d’Aurenga’s rare vida. The texts contained in both are roughly similar, but Pv carries also the signature of the biographer Uc de Saint Circ. The presence of this vida in N2 and the manuscripts belonging to the Venetian group IK (k) is crucial to the understanding of the relationship between them. The article discusses textual variants, on he basis of which a new critical text is proposed.

Rondeaux e caroles nel codice autografo di Charles d’Orléans
Marzia Lotti

The tradition of the rondeau is active throughout the history of medieval French literature, at least until Guillaume de Machaut, who elevates it to a “fixed form”, at the same time starting the process of its separation from music. The virelai, whose story is linked to the rondeau, also is canonised during the XIV century, with or without music. Charles d’Orléans represent a particularly challenging author for whoever wants to study the two literary genres. The autograph manuscript (Paris, BnF, fr. 25458) shows stratifications and, in some cases, inconsistencies in the identification of the two genres. The article examines the rondeaux and virelais by the Duke of Orléans in line with research carried out on autograph and idiograph manuscripts by Guillaume de Machaut and Christine de Pizan.

Nuovi documenti per l’attribuzione a Felice Rasponi del manoscritto contenente la sua Vita (Classense, Mob. 3. 2 P2: 12)
Eleonora Carinci

Felice Rasponi (1522-1579), nun in the Benedictine convent of Sant’Andrea Maggiore in Ravenna, was known for her beauty, piety, erudition and misfortune, and was the author of two printed works, the Ragionamento sopra la cognition di Dio (Bologna, n.d.) and the Dialogo dell’eccellenza dello stato monacale (Bologna, 1572). The article describes a sixteenth-century manuscript held in the biblioteca Classense in Ravenna containing an anonymous dialogue on Rasponi’s life, the Vita della Madre donna Felice Rasponi, and traces its critical and editorial history. Thanks to new archival documents, it is shown that the dialogue, until now attributed to another nun in the same convent as Rasponi, is actually an autograph autobiographical work. This discovery allows us to read the text and the figure of the author under a new light.

Catálogo de la novela corta barroca: textos, paratextos y redes (un enfoque interdisciplinar)
Daniela Santonocito

This article presents a new research project that aims to create an updated catalogue of the Spanish novelas cortas published in the 17th century. The main innovation of this work consists in the practical functionality of the catalogue, since, unlike the existing ones, it will be available on the web. The creation of the catalogue involves three different levels of investigation depending on whether the texts are independent, juxtaposed or inserted in miscellanies or in other literary genres. All the items of the catalogue will be considered both as texts and paratexts (legal, socioliterary and editorial) in order to determine the complex social network around the creation, publication, transmission, and reception of the Spanish novela corta in the 17th century printing press.
