The second part of this work is dedicated to an analysis of those verse sections of the Roll Brut that survived the dérimage set up by the author of the version of the text destined to be inserted in a genealogical compilation (version r). Specifically, the peculiarities of the versifica-tion will be put in relation with the problem of Anglo-Norman aniso-syllabism; finally, some of the authorial choices regarding the change of power from Britons to Saxons will be debated.
