Il contributo discute il «volume» «legato con amore» di Pd 33, 86 come simbolo teofanico, con particolare riguardo all’iconografia dell’Etimasia. Esso mira inoltre a mettere in relazione le immagini circolari e sferiche dei canti finali del Paradiso con il simbolismo della sphaera intellegibilis o infinita, uno dei concetti più importanti della teologia assiomatica medievale.
This article analyzes the meaning of Pd 33, 86. The «volume» «legato con amore» is investigated as a theophanic symbol, with regard to the iconography of Etimasia. It also aims at connecting the circular/spherical images of Pd 28, 13-39 and Pd 33 with the sphaera intellegibilis or infinita, one of the most important concepts of the medieval axiomatic theology.
