Dante nel Novecento letterario francese

Nel ventesimo secolo l’esempio di Dante è stato importante per alcuni scrittori francesi: Claudel, Péguy, Sollers, Risset hanno trovato ispirazione nella sua poesia, nel suo pensiero, nelle sue immagini per le loro opere creative o critiche. Alcuni romanzieri come Giono e Green, malgrado la brevità dei loro riferimenti al poeta italiano, hanno mostrato una grande ammirazione per lui e una profonda conoscenza del suo poema.

In the twentienth century, Dante’s example was important for some French writers: Claudel, Péguy, Sollers, Risset drew inspiration from his poetry, his thought, his images for their creative or critical works. A few novelists such as Giono and Green, despite the shortness of their references to the Italian poet, showed a great admiration for him and a profound knowledge of his poem.
