La filologia e l’ora della leggibilità
Dall’esigenza di comprendere la natura della Crisi dell’oggi e i caratteri del conflitto fra paradigmi culturali antitetici che attraversa il campo dei saperi, lungo le suggestioni calviniane sul senso della letteratura, si ripercorrono le acquisizioni maggiormente fondanti che agli inizi del nuovo Millennio segnano il campo degli studi di filologia romanza. La loro fecondità viene verificata rispetto ai terreni della dialettica fra uno e molteplice, del rapporto fra presente e passato, della ridefinizione della filologia come filologia della ricostruzione della leggibilità.

This paper starts from the need to comprehend the nature of today’s crisis and the characteristics of the conflict between antithetical cultural paradigms which invests the field of knowledge. It is inspired by Calvino’s suggestions on the meaning of literature. The paper offers a survey of the most important acquisitions made in the field of romance philology at the beginning of the new Millennium. The fertility of these acquisitions is discussed in the context of the dialectic between the one and the many, the relationship between present and past, the redefinition of philology as philology of reconstruction of readability.
