The article consists of a brief exposition of «Verba», analysing
the reasons of its creation, its structure and the changes it underwent
over the years. Attention is also paid to the contents of the volumes
so far published and to the languages used and the number of articles
devoted to each language: the statistics indicate a preponderance
of studies on Spanish. Information in given about the 67 annexed
volumes in which studies on Galician language predominate and
the studies on Medieval Philology included in «Verba» and in its
annexed volumes. The article concludes with notes on the Reviews
Scoring System and Procedure which confirm their inadequacy for
the evaluation of journals devoted to the Humanities.
