Dinamiche lessico-editoriali in Bernart de Ventadorn: cor e cors
The paper wants to offer first of all a “reasoned map” of lemmatas
cors and cor in Bernart de Ventadorn; through the analysis of their
semantic contexts it is possible to clear some interpretative doubts.
As well as the intentional ambiguity of the word cors (meaning
both heart and body), we can observe that the lexical area of ‘body’
is richer than that of ‘heart’. The paper bases this conclusion on
a statistical analysis of the lexicon. Furthermore this can be of
help also in making editorial decisions. The understanding of the
troubadour and of his courtly ideology seems to depend in some
cases on decisions that are not justified by conclusive evidence.
