Il presente contributo traccia un bilancio dell’effettiva consistenza della tradizione manoscritta di mano italiana del Guiron le Courtois, alla luce delle recenti acquisizioni, di cui sono prese in esame le varie proposte attributive, e delinea, sulla base del lavoro di R. Lathuillère, una sommaria fisionomia del testo del romanzo conosciuto nelle corti e nelle città italiane tra i secc. XIII (seconda metà) e il XIV.
This article weighs the arguments concerning the real consistency of the Guiron le Courtois in the Italian manuscript tradition, in the light of recent acquisitions. It examines various attributions and outlines a summary physiognomy, based on the work of R. Lathuillère, of the romance text as it was known in the Italian courts and cities between the second half of the thirteenth and the fourteenth century.
