Due canzonieri, un solo manoscritto? A proposito di Paris, BnF fr. 765 (canzoniere L) e Bern, Burgerbibliothek 231 (canzoniere B)
Sulla base di un nuovo esame codicologico e paleografico si operano sistematici confronti tra due lacerti di canzonieri oitanici della fine del XIII secolo che tramandano liriche di Thibaut de Champagne e Gace Brulé. L’esame della tradizione testuale, della lingua, della riscrittura di alcuni luoghi delle liriche è complemento dell’indagine più strettamente materiale; tentando di razionalizzare le scritture seconde abbondanti nei margini dei frammenti si giunge a descrivere la probabile matrice culturale e scrittoria comune ai due codici.
On the basis of a new paleographical and codicological examination, this article carries out a systematic comparison of fragments from two song collections in langue d’oïl dating from the end of the thirteenth century, which transmit the lyrics by Thibaut de Champagne and Gace Brulé. Besides work on the material itself, the article includes complementary research on the textual tradition, the language, and the places in which some of the lyrics were rewritten. By trying to rationalise the plentiful secondary writings in the margins, we have managed to describe the probable cultural matrix common to both fragments.
